Grinder with the small wheel attachment on a square arm, rubber idler roller and belt fitted, on black with a purple glow

Arms and attachments

2x72 tooling arms, attachments and shop tools.

One grinder does five jobs when you give each attachment its own arm. Everything here rides a solid 1.5-inch aluminum tooling arm with 3/8-16 holes on two sides, so it drops into any Torus and most other 2x72 machines. Pull the pin, swap, keep grinding.

Everything in arms & attachments

I bought the adjustable work table for my Pheer 2x72 grinder, it is very well made plenty of adjustment all the way around. I highly recommend anything made by Torus. Thanks for a great product. David T.

What matters here

Why it is built this way

  • Solid aluminum arms

1.5 x 1.5-inch solid bar, machined true, with 3/8-16 mounting holes on two faces.
  • Swap without tools

Loosen the handle, pull the arm, drop the next one in. Seconds, not a bench session.
  • Fits other 2x72s

If your grinder takes a standard 1.5-inch arm, these fit it, Torus or not.

One arm per attachment

Each attachment rides its own solid 1.5-inch arm, so a tool change is one arm out of the receiver and the next one in, and each one you add to an order counts toward the bundle discount.

  • Fits every Torus grinder and most 2×72s built around a 1.5-inch arm
  • two knobs lock each arm

The arm-mounted attachments each ride their own 1.5-inch solid aluminum arm, so they drop straight into any Torus grinder and swap in seconds.

Eligible attachments and wheels save 5% at 2 units, 10% at 3 units, 15% at 4 units, 20% at 5+ units. A grinder counts as one unit; only eligible parts are discounted.

Values marked on the figure: 5% at 2 units; 10% at 3 units; 15% at 4 units; 20% at 5+ units; 1/2 to 1.5-inch rubber small wheels.

Buy the arm with the attachment and you never dismount anything mid-project.

Wheel size sets the hollow

A contact wheel grinds a hollow with its own radius, so across the same bevel the 8-inch leaves the deepest hollow and the 14-inch the shallowest.

Pick the wheel that fits your curve.

  1. 8 InchTight curves and detailed shaping. The knifemaker’s workhorse for hollow grinding kitchen and hunting blades and for profiling small blanks.
  2. 10 InchA balance of control and surface area. Good if you mix fine work with heavier grinding.
  3. 12 InchMore material removal and a gentler hollow. Larger blades, thicker stock, axe bits.
  4. 14 InchThe most surface and the shallowest hollow. Long blades, full hollow straight razors, big fabrication curves.
  • Contact wheel in the diameter you choose, 2 inches wide
  • 16.5-inch solid 1.5-inch aluminum tooling arm
  • Hollow GrindA concave bevel, ground with a curved contact wheel rather than a flat platen.

Tight hollow grinds on the small end, fast stock removal and long sweeping curves on the big end.

Contact wheels from 8 to 14 inches, all 2 inches wide, on a 16.5-inch solid aluminum arm.

Questions

Before you order

Will these fit a grinder that isn't a Torus?

If it takes a standard 1.5-inch square tooling arm, yes. That covers most 2x72 machines on the market. Measure your receiver before you order and email me if you are unsure.

Do I need a separate arm for each attachment?

You do not, but it is the difference between a five-second change and a five-minute one. Each attachment listed here already includes its own arm; a spare 17-inch arm is $89.
