By no means feel bad about going with a cheaper motor/vfd setup. We all want the best, but sometimes we just need something that will get us started with a smaller budget.

Inexpensive vfd for 220v single phase

This vfd will get you up and running for a fraction of the price. It’s not in the best enclosure but it’ll work as long as you keep it somewhat protected.
